Equipping Seminars

What happened at the cross? How will the world end? Was Jesus really born of a virgin? Was the flood worldwide? Does sin really separate us from God? How old is the earth?  Many of us have wrestled with or been in conversation about many of those questions. Behind each of those questions lies a belief or doctrine. There are doctrines that are essential and at the core of being Christian that we are called to guard and hold to. Yet when we look around our current landscape of the Christianity it is easy to see the wide, wide diversity of beliefs. How do we process so much disagreement? How do we know what is really right? In this day it is more important than ever to be able to discern between essential and non-essential doctrines of Christianity. Doctrines that Divide will talk about how we process which doctrines we should always stand firm on and divide if necessary…..and which ones we never should divide on.

In this seminar you will learn a model of relational evangelism that is remarkably effective and personal. You will learn to:Discern the three barriers to a relationship with Christ and how to dismantle them.Discover how people who may not have the gift of evangelism can become naturally involved in reaching others for Christ—the way they were wired to do it.Develop confidence, competence and compassion in communicating your faith with others. The opportunities for personal evangelism are greater than ever. Current trends suggest that there is a new openness to spiritual things in our culture, and a new desire to return to our spiritual roots. The ‘I Can Do That!’ Seminar will help you seize these opportunities to share your faith and to actively participate in what God is doing in our culture. It will help you experience the deep satisfaction of introducing someone to eternal life.

Are you using your media and technology or is it using you?

Jay Watts

What if you had just five minutes to graciously defend your pro-life beliefs with friends, family, co-workers or classmates? Could you do it with rational arguments? What would you say? And could you simplify the abortion issue for those who think it’s hopelessly complex? Jay Watts, a national speaker for the Life Training Institute (www.prolifetraining.com), will equip you to do all of this and more. In this timely seminar, you will discover that both the scientific evidence and clear thinking are on the side of life and you will also be equipped to make a simple, clear, and compelling case for the pro-life position.

Everyone is talking about hell these days. TIME magazine even had a cover story on it during Holy Week asking—Is Hell Dead? When it comes to this topic everyone has questions: How could a loving God send people to hell? Is hell forever? Will everyone be saved in the end? What about those who have never heard of Jesus? Did Jesus really believe in hell? In this timely seminar, equipping pastor and author Jonathan Morrow will be responding to these and other issues from a distinctively Christian worldview so that we can better understand what the Bible teaches about this topic and how we can engage others when these issues come up in conversations at work, home, or on campus.
